27/06/2011 - Brander has the NEX Factor
We are delighted to extend our aid to Malaika Africa by becoming a sponsor at a local level of the NEX Factor in Aberdeen. This is a singing talent contest taking part at the AECC on the 13th August 2011 for youths between 13 and 19 years.
All funds raised will go to Malaika Africa whilst also helping local children to fulfil their own musical dreams. Winners not only will get a cash prize and a Photo Shoot, but also Studio recording time, whilst some Musical Promoters are already wondering which of the 10 finalists they may be able to help in their future careers!
Ian Brander said, "There is a lovely synergy in helping raise the aspirations of the poorest of children in East Africa simply by helping the musical aspirations of local children in the North East of Scotland to be fulfilled. We are thrilled to sponsor this event be staged in Aberdeen for the first time and we look forward to many of these Shows being staged in future years. We urge anyone who has not already bought a ticket for the Final, to do so now so that they can see the brightest 10 young talents that we have to offer here in the North East of Scotland.
